IAC Accreditation

IAC accreditationFor many Americans, getting superior medical care starts with finding the best physician for your particular illness. O’Donnell Vein & Laser, under the leadership of Medical Director Kelly O’Donnell, M.D., has been granted accreditation in Superficial Venous Treatment and Management by the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC). This honor is extended to only those facilities that are found to be providing quality patient care in compliance with national standards, through a comprehensive application process that includes a detailed review of selected patient procedures. Accreditation is widely respected within the medical community, as illustrated by the support of the national medical societies related to superficial venous disorders, industry physicians, physician extenders, nurses and ultrasound technologists.

O’Donnell Vein and Laser is one of 120 vein centers in the country to receive this prestigious accreditation — and the first one in the state of Maryland — so patients can consider this a “seal of approval” that processes and procedures at O’Donnell Vein & Laser have been reviewed and approved by medical experts in the field. “We are honored to be Maryland’s first IAC accredited vein center,” says Kelly O’Donnell, M.D. “Our practice is built on providing superior treatment outcomes, and delivering that care in a more personalized doctor-patient environment. It is great to be acknowledged for our commitment to providing the highest quality of patient care.”

When investigating a vein center and performing due diligence concerning a specific procedure, patients are encouraged to inquire as to the accreditation status of the facility where their treatment and management will be performed.
